So I think I have an addiction. To porn. Knitting and yarn porn. It occurred to me that I obsessively ooh and aah and spend way too much free time perving out on other people’s FOs on Ravelry than is probably healthy. And it turns me on. No, not is sexual way, but in the OH MY GOD I HAVE TO CAST THAT ON RIGHT NOW kinda way. And it’s kinda cheating, but not really (which is totally something a project cheater would say). While I love my little Red Headed Step Child lace weight sweater (which I am 1/3 done with the SECOND arm and WILL finish by this weekend or someone will die), I’m procrastinating working on it because I’m oohing and aahing at things that I need to cast on. I love you, baby, but mamma just needs to go do an innocent little swatch.
Sometimes I even dream about projects and which yarn I could use, and then I’ll immediately go on Ravelry when I wake up to see how feasible it would be. And then spend hours looking at 1000 amalgamations for the yarn/project I was originally thinking about. And then I feel I need to get more yarn to fulfil all those variances. Perv, perv, perv!
Do they have a Ravelry/yarn/knitting Annonomyous?

This post was positively hilarious. We’ve all done it. I love it that you say “perv” because… good god, my apartment should be on a website. I’ve done so much stalking and obsessing (and truthfully accomplished little when I cast on the project). I totally get it and it’s awesome that you laid it all out here. 😀
